The Home Staging Forum has been and gone for another year! The Forum was held on the 16th November 2019 at the beautiful Waldorf Hotel in London, where we had a phenomenal turnout. We all hope you had a fantastic day and went home feeling inspired.

This year was a particularly special one for us as it was the first year of hosting The Home Staging Awards. We had some brilliant nominees, but unfortunately there could only be up to two winners for each award.

The winners were announced on the night with seven awards up for grabs. To see an extensive list of all winners, see below, but first we thought we would give you an insight of what some of them had to say on their award-winning projects.

Zest Home Staging – Best Bedroom Project

A home staging duo of Chanelle Knapp and Ruth Hassard based in Hereford, specialising in styling workshops, space planning, styling for developers and professional photography.

“We were given the opportunity to dress the master bedroom of this bespoke penthouse apartment. It is situated in one of the most sought-after areas in Hereford. The target market for our design was aimed at retired couples/individuals, or young professionals.

When dressing the bedroom, we wanted to accentuate the pre-existing design features. The room boasts beautiful linear inbuilt wardrobes and streams of natural light. Therefore, the staging needed to be subtle with the introduction of furniture that equalled the design standard.

When choosing the colour pallet, we choose neutral warm tones to give a luxurious and calm feel, whilst remaining on trend. We were conscious that in this space that less would be more and to be confident with our composition of our furniture”.

EHG Home – Best Reception Room Project

A boutique home staging firm based in London, founded in 2006 by Kate Haynes.

“This was a huge open plan Reception space with a dining area and when we first went on site I was a little overwhelmed by the job in hand and being such a wow factor space anyway we had to make sure we choose the right furniture to show a buyer how the space could be furnished. The owner borrowed some very large-scale art pieces for the launch to compliment the fact it was an old artist studio”.

The Home Styling Company – Best Transformation (Occupied) – Before & After

A family home staging business based in Leicestershire. Denise and Stephen Cable work with homeowners, developers, estate agents and landlords.

“Project: An EXTREMELY cluttered and tired 4 bedroom family farmhouse to prepare for sale

Order of events:

Initial Consultation at the property (Lots of photos and discussion)

Follow up Staging to Sell Report (VERY detailed and long!!)

Decluttering and decorating

Ordering new items for staging (Clients took my advice to invest in new items to sell current property which could then be taken to new property)

Two hands on staging days (on my own!!)

RESULT – Clients were so chuffed they decided to stay longer before selling!”

Burbeck Interiors – Best Transformation – Before & After (Vacant Property)

A London based property and home styling company founded by property developers.

“This was a project close to our hearts which the Burbeck design team were involved with from inception.

We developed this scheme always keeping our target market in mind, aiming to appeal to upwardly mobile young families and professionals, proud South West Londoners, who might also enjoy travelling the world.

We worked closely with the developer’s design, carefully incorporating metals from the crittal doors and the rich Hague blue of the kitchen into our scheme. Artwork was the anchor to each room, and we developed colour palettes around each piece, for example ‘The Traveller’, a huge print of a camel which we grew very fond of.
