Samantha, with 30 years interior experience, is particularly focused on making a home a sanctuary exploring the art of using interior design to improve the quality of life and wellness. Nest + Kin focus on bringing the life into a space to create a desirable lifestyle for potential buyers. They use light, flow and space to accentuate the properties key features and create an aesthetic yet comfortable looking home.The importance of this is wonderfully expressed in the interior work put into supporting those living with dementia, so those with dementia can have a living space full of life and peace to furthermore promote independent living and create a safe space.

We love the idea Nest and Kin execute of using as many of the properties personal home belongings as possible, as this is not only sustainable and cost effective but it is poignant too- capturing the properties character and preserving it’s originality.

A little bit more about Nest + Kin from the owner Samatha Bamford- 

I am Samantha Bamford, owner and stylist at Nest + Kin, a home staging and styling business based in Staffordshire.

My career started out like many in the ‘Potteries’ in ceramics, as an apprentice designer for a small tableware company, a role which would be the springboard for a decade in homewares design which eventually led me to study interior design. 

In recent years I have worked for a number of high street brands, predicting interior trends and developing products for every indoor and outdoor space –
fulfilling my passion for creating homes that delight the eye and the heart.

Nest + Kin is a new venture bringing home staging and styling services to Staffordshire and the surrounding areas – offering staging for those looking to relocate and digital interior inspiration and styling for those wishing to renovate. 

With full project management where required, these are services aimed to support property developers, estate agents and clients alike. 

As a believer that good design can enhance wellness, there is a consultancy service focused on design for dementia, supporting those living in their own homes through simple considered adjustments that aim to aid independent living.
