The house was in a perfect village location, great layout, beautiful garden but had been on the market for quite a while with very little interest.

The house was semi furnished and dated so on the advice of the new sales agent, we brought in Caroline who immediately saw what needed to be done to make the house look more interesting, more presentable and enable any prospective buyer to immediately imagine what it would be like to live there.

After 40 years in our Kentish Farmhouse we had inevitably collected 40 years of stuff.  Despite constant decluttering, removing some furniture to meet every estate agents wish to create more space and the listing for sale date getting closer, we realised that we needed help.  Our brilliant agent suggested we use Style My Home to help prepare the look needed for a quick sale.

We needed to sell a flat that hadn't been updated in 20 years and was looking distinctly tired.  We refurbished it to a high standard.  We had it decorated and carpeted throughout and we installed a new kitchen, bathroom, a new central heating system etc.  It was unfurnished but we still thought it looked great.  The estate agents we initially spoke to agreed.

It seemed like the perfect blank canvas that any prospective buyer would be able to stamp their personality on.  However, after 3 months on the market we had only had 2 viewings.  This was very frustrating and expensive as we were paying all the costs associated with an empty flat.
