We needed some quick help this summer as we decided to put our flat on the market and wanted to get it listed quickly . I found Jane on Houzz and contacted her. She responded immediately, we had a quick chat and she was able to come and do a viewing with us within a couple of days after I sent her some initial videos of our home. Her ideas and thoughts were really helpful in staging our place, and she was incredibly mindful of the fact that we didn't want to have to spend an arm and a leg to get it looking good. We sourced a lot of affordable bits just to add some flair to the home, and Jane also came on the day we had photographs taken in order to prepare each room before the photos were done. It made a huge difference, and we got a lot of interest in our place immediately. About a month after listing, we got an offer we were happy to accept, and we couldn't have done it without Jane. I must say, as well, that my husband was not sure about the "home staging" idea initially, but after Jane's work, he's had a total conversion on the idea!

JANE'S ADVICE SAVED US SO MUCH UPHEAVAL AND MONEY
We were planning to replace the kitchen before putting our house on the market, which was a really daunting task. Jane's advice on how to update what we already had saved us so much upheaval and money that we can now put towards our new property, it was so worthwhile. We did everything she said and to our surprise and delight sold within weeks.
It had been 17 years since I last sold a house and I had a long list of things I thought I should do to the house before it went up for sale. I knew that Jane had successfully sold several flats and houses before – often getting full asking price within a very short time on the market. I thought this could only happen in big towns like Brighton and houses in the country tended to sit on the market for a long time before being sold. I invited her over and we walked through every room of the house. Jane’s philosophy is not about spending lots of money. It is more about making rooms look as spacious as possible , storing away or selling clutter, neutral décor and introducing some colour using cushions and plants. We had considered a full re-fit of our en-suite bathroom which was going to be at least £5,000. Instead Jane suggested we paint the walls a neutral colour, gave the tiles a sparkling clean, new fluffy towels and nice toiletries and some new houseplants. Jane’s suggestions not only made the en-suite look great, but we could bring the items we had bought with us to our new home, as well as saving thousands of pounds. I had also considered replacing all the made to measure blinds in the conservatory which again would be very expensive. Instead we threw the old ones away and I paid £200 to a company to clean it inside and out. It looked like new. I added some new cushions with a green leaf pattern on which made the room look clean and bright and much more welcoming. We did sell some pieces of furniture and an awful lot of clutter, and did a thorough deep clean everywhere. We went on sale, had 3 viewers in the first couple of days. Two buyers wanted the house for full asking price, so we accepted the one that was not in a chain. I was gob-smacked! Thank you Jane
