Project 1 – New Build Bungalow – The Home Styling Company

• Highly desirable village

• Marketed with two agents – 6 months – no offers and price had been reduced by £30,000

• Large open plan living space, separate sitting room, 3 bedrooms (1 downstairs and 2 upstairs), 2 bathrooms, utility

• Flexible well thought out design with good quality finish

• Feedback had been mixed, no one particular sticking point, just no one had fallen in love with it. Viewers were struggling to see how the open plan space could work for them.

• Variety of people had viewed it, couples upsizing and downsizing and families.

So it needed to tick a lot of boxes and show how the space could be utilised to the maximum decided to keep the three bedrooms (although the ground floor one could also have been a formal dining room or office).

I succeeded in packing a lot into the open plan area, including living, dining and a workspace. Two sets of bifolds provided a slight challenge as there was very little wall space! However when they were all open the inside and outside definitely merged into a stunningly large living and entertaining space.
