This project was a joy to do. The attic bedroom was bright but plain so by injecting some colour through pillows, cushions and a luscious, green-velvet bedspread I achieved a dramatic change. The client was so happy with the new look that they decided to actually buy the green velvet furnishings.

I also re-organised the open shelving. Whenever possible, I try to work with what people already have – once we cleared some personal items and photos, I thought it may be fun, but also a practical solution, to display and store shoes and handbags rather than putting ornaments on the shelves.

The tall green plant was in another area of the house, I brought it in as it connects so well with the new colour scheme and it also softens the overall feel of the room.

The end result was a bright, comfortable bedroom which attracted a lot of positive comments and the house sold very quickly.
