Working Safely During the Lockdown
As the UK enters another national lockdown, the HSA would like to share relevant information so all staging professionals know how to proceed with their Staging projects.
Unlike the first lockdown, which took place in March, people are still allowed to move homes.
See below information from the National Lockdown Guidance:
Moving home
You can still move home. People outside your household or support bubble should not help with moving house unless absolutely necessary.
Estate and letting agents and removals firms can continue to work. If you are looking to move, you can go to property viewings.
Follow the national guidance on moving home safely, which includes advice on social distancing, letting fresh air in, and wearing a face covering.
As stagers, you are also still allowed to work, as long as you follow safety guidelines:
Work
You can only leave home for work purposes where it is unreasonable for you to do your job from home, including but not limited to people who work within critical national infrastructure, construction or manufacturing that require in-person attendance
You can read the full Guidance document here.
The HSA has also prepared a document that summarises safety guidelines to work in people’s homes. You can find this document here.
Please make sure you have your own Covid-19 work policies and risk assessments, so you can share with your clients and stay safe.
The HSA will do its best to carry on supporting you and to keep you updated.
